We keep as little as we can, only to make your gift, and we never sell it.

What we collect

Your name and email address, given at checkout.

Your birth date, birth time (or that you don't know it), birth place and its timezone — only to calculate your chart and write your letter.

Anything you choose to write for your letter (all optional), and the timezone where you'll wake up on your birthday (your device's, unless you choose another), so your gifts open on your birthday morning.

If you write a note to next-year you, we keep it sealed and email it back to you on your next birthday. We don't read it.

If you ask for a birthday reminder, your email address, your birthday, the timezone it should arrive in and when you asked (see Birthday reminders).

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card details.

What we use it for

To calculate your chart, make your Birthday Book (a PDF) and write your birthday letter, and to email you your private link, the morning your gifts open and updates about your order.

We don't use your data for advertising, and we don't sell or share it with anyone for their own use.

We never send marketing to the address you give at checkout. The only emails that aren't about your order are birthday reminders, and only if you ask for them yourself.

Birthday reminders

On our site you can ask us to remind you before your birthday. Only if you tick the box: buying a gift never signs you up.

We then email you twice a year, at about 10 AM where you are: three weeks and one week before your birthday. Nothing else. If you buy a gift for that birthday, we skip that year's reminders.

For this we keep your email address, your birthday (the day and month, and the year), the timezone and when you asked. Nothing is shared, and nothing in them is used for ads.

Every reminder has a link to stop them in one click (your mail app's Unsubscribe button works too). After that nothing more comes; we keep only a note that you stopped, and delete even that if you ask at hello@birthdayinternet.com.

Who helps us

Stripe (payments), Netlify (hosting), Turso (database), Resend (emails) and Anthropic (writing tools) process data for us only to run the service. If you allow it in the cookie banner, Meta measures our ads (see Cookies).

Your private page

Your page has no login: its link is the key. Anyone with the link can see it, so please keep it to yourself.

Cookies

With your permission only, we use the Meta Pixel — a small script from Meta — to see which of our ads bring visitors and purchases. It sets cookies on your device and tells Meta that a visit, a checkout or a purchase happened. Your birth details, your chart and your letter are never sent.

You choose in the banner the first time you visit, and you can change your mind any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page. Saying no changes nothing else on the site.

When you arrive from one of our ads, we keep the ad's own labels (its campaign name and where it ran) in a small cookie of our own for 30 days, and with your order if you buy, so we know which ads lead to gifts. It holds nothing about you, and nothing in it is sent to anyone. Meta's click id is kept with it only if you said yes in the banner.

Stripe may set its own cookies on its checkout page.

How long we keep it

We keep your order so your page and PDF keep working. Ask us and we will delete your birth details, your letter and your page.

If you start a checkout and don't pay, what you typed (your name, email, birth details and wish) is deleted after seven days.

A birthday reminder is kept until you stop it, or ask us to delete it.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete your data at any time (including under Thailand's PDPA). Write to hello@birthdayinternet.com.

Human Design is a belief system for self-reflection — not science, and not a prediction. Your chart is calculated from your birth data; nothing in it is invented.
